Camp Butterfly – Camp Weloki's Summer Home

Directions
Over 1000 acres located between Farmington, Missouri and Ste. Genevieve, Missouri in the rolling hills of the Missouri wine country. As you drive past the gate you can feel yourself slowdown. Camp Butterfly seems far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

There are separate villages for boys and girls each with rustic and cozy cabins built in shady wooded areas. Each cabin has electricity and each village has its own modern bath house with hot showers and flush toilets.

There are two 75 acre lakes separated by a levee and spill way that makes a great waterfall for cooling off on warm summer days. We spend a lot of our days at the lake, playing at the beach, swimming, fishing, canoeing and using the paddleboats. The sunsets at the lake are breathtaking and seem to slow the entire camp down for just a bit.

Camp Butterfly has many miles of great hiking trails that lead to some really cool geological formations. "Stairway to Heaven" and "Mushroom Rock" are just a few of the highlights.

We lease this property from the Girl Scouts/Council Bluffs. This has been the summer home of Camp Weloki starting in 1995. We did take a few summers off while some improvements were made. We are delighted to be back.

Camp Woodland Hills – Camp Weloki's Weekend Retreats

Directions
Located near St. Clair, Missouri on the Bourbose River only 40 minutes from St. Louis, MO. Camp Woodland Hills has a beautiful lodge that we use for all of our retreats.

The dorm style bedrooms and modern bathrooms are located inside the main building. Even in snowy, rainy or cold weather we have plenty to do and no one has to leave the building. We have been using this property for over ten years for our weekend retreats for kids, teens and even adults and everyone loves it.

The grounds are beautiful. There is a nice hike down to the river and up to the top of the bluffs overlooking the river. We usually end up by hiking up a small creek to small shut-in before heading back to the main lodge. There is a basketball court and sport field along with a place for a bon fire to gather around for roasting marshmallows and stories on a cool night.

The close proximity and modern lodge make this an ideal location for our retreats.
